The C500 has undergone vigorous attack tests to achieve the independent security rating, LPS 1175: Issue 6, Security Rating 1, providing the same security as a domestic front door. Following this vigorous testing, The C500 KeySafe™ has been awarded Secured By Design Police Accredited status.

About Secured by Design

Established in 1989, Secured by Design (SBD) is the title for a group of national police projects focusing on the design and security for new and refurbished homes, commercial premises and car parks as well as the acknowledgement of quality security products and crime prevention projects. It supports the principles of ‘designing out crime’ through physical security and processes.

Only security products which pass the stringent SBD criteria and prove themselves to be effective in preventing or reducing crime are permitted to carry the official Secured by Design logo.

What do SBD say about the C500 KeySafe™?

“The C500 KeySafe™ from The Key Safe Company has achieved Secured by Design recognition, which means it has police approval as a product that can help to reduce crime. It has been tested by an independent third party to a standard that the police and the insurance industry recognise (LPS 1175: Issue 6, Security Rating 1), and which is a standard for the security of buildings."

For end users and homeowners, Police approval provides confidence. The presence of the Secured by Design accreditation and the the LPCB logo accompanying every C500 demonstrates quality and assurance.
